Alexis and I both had unusual teenage years. Time on Bovey ward together, lots of school missed and concerned parents and brothers. So it was wonderful to go off to Majorca together for a normal, teenage holiday. A holiday packed with fun, we took a studio, we accepted each other's odd ways. We swam in the freezing cold ocean and palled up with 2 girls from Bolton for fun on pedalos. Even a bit of night life.

I have never had another holiday like that with a really good friend so I treasure the memory greatly. My lasting memories of Alexis are of her plucking and how she enjoyed her life to the full.
